VEGA are very advanced GPUs with their on chip High Bandwidth Memory, HBM2. This makes them very high performance for computing tasks compared to newer cards which now use GDDR6. They game well too but the fact they are so good at compute makes them poor value to the gamer. The prices are high because they cryptomine amazingly well. You'd actually be better off buying a brand new RTS 3060 for the same or a 3070 for a little bit more. If you do use one then it's worth going into the Adrenaline driver and clicking the UNDERVOLT option in performance tuning. They don't need to use nearly as much power as they are set by default. Doing this will run them cooler and they won't overheat during several hours of use. You'd think AMD would have got this right but they must have their reasons. Probably that the amount of undervolting depends on the individual card. These are excellent cards but not at £600. When they were £250 in 2019 they were the best value of all GPUs.Read full review

MSI AMD RX Vega 56 8GB air cooled. I have it installed in a fan cooled PC. The card I have has Hynix memory ;-) Pros: This card is amazing in perfomance. Great for gaming at 4k. can play all the games released in 2018 at high end 2k! which is excellent because the card was bought for less than 200quid refurbished!!! Cons: After 7 or 8 hours of gaming the card gets very hot and has atleast once crashed while gaming. Gave a directx error with some memory error. reboot the PC and had to reintall the AMD drivers - for the card to work properly in windows 10 device driver and strangley it works all OK :-). No issues if played for less than 5 hours straight.

Works well, good solid card. Though the aluminium block means you need to have aluminium for the rest of your water cooling.
