Good device overall.
This unit works fine. I was expecting greater range from this 5.0 device than I get with my 4.2 unit, but they are about the same. Nevertheless, it will still be useful for my application. I am using it to transmit from my home Sirius receiver to an Anker Bluetooth speaker., and the sound is quite good. Don't use in a metal case
I know it sounds like a "well duh", but this dongle will not work if your USB port is surrounded in metal. Since my Laptop has a mostly metal case, this essentially ruins the range of the dongle, turning what should be 10-meter range to half-meter range (if you're lucky). It works mostly OK if you have it on the end of a USB extender cable, but that completely defeats the point of a "low profile" device. The device is out-of-the-box compatible with Windows 8+ at least. Devices I tested against this are a standard BlueTooth 2.0 Mouse, and a Bluetooth Audio Sync. While both paired (eventually), connection was sporadic at best, and nonfunctional at worst at any distance away from the dongle, completely ruining the intent of wireless communications. Bluetooth adapter windows/linux to sound bar
Dual boot windows 10/Mint, was pleased adapter recognized with Mint no issues. Win 10 requires the drivers from the CD, but easy install thereafter. Audio to Samsung sound bar is very good. Cannot comment on dongle range as I use it only for the sound bar which is 4’ from dongle. Have not had any audio interference at all. 2 in 1 Bluetooth receiver/transmitter
I was browsing around to find a transmitter for a reasonable price to make my cheap movie projector Bluetooth. To get straight to the point, this little audio transmitter did just what I was wanting. There is ZERO latency (the sound is in sync with the picture) at all. I’ve tried it with 3 different Bluetooth speakers and they all preform well. It’s easy plug and play. I put the transmitter in the audio out port of the projector and switched it to transmit, turned on my Bluetooth speaker and once that was in pairing mode, I pushed the power button once on the transmitter and boom, paired. Great price instead of paying $20-$35 for a name brand audio transmitter. I haven’t tried the receiving mode but so far this is great for budget home theater set ups!

Much better then the “el Cheapo” USB adapters they have around eBay
Best high quality Bluetooth adapter around, a little expensive, but it worked as intended. Works with all devices, Bluetooth 4.0 and below, great range, great build quality, the Dvd is not necessary if you are using Windows 10, it’ll just automatically update drivers for the device. I’m currently using it to connect all my bluetooth controllers ( Bluetooth Xbox One controllers), as well as Bluetooth headsets and such. Highly recommended!

Didn't Work with Windows 10
I could never really get this Bluetooth adapter to work right with Windows 10. It could detect devices fine but audio playback was very choppy and inconsistent. I tried downloading the drivers from the ASUS website but that didn't help too much. This Bluetooth transmitter works flawlessly.
Plugged this into the USB port on my TV and plugged the 3.5mm cable into the audio out. Synced up my Bluetooth headphones and it works flawlessly. Im using it right now. Moving from an Amazon Firestick to a smart TV with Roku built in caused me to lose Bluetooth connectivity. This very inexpensive device fixed it immediately. Fast and easy to setup and use.

Good little unit !!!
I bought this for my wife to use with her headphones and they did the job. She can listen to music from her PC all over the house. Our house is not huge but she has had no issues anywhere in it.
