Great slug control
I've been looking for an organic but effective way to stop slugs and snail devouring my plants and this is great. We also have 2 dogs and these pellets are pet safe if used as directed. I wont use regular slug pellets because of the effect on the environment and the wild birds, so this is a good alternative and they do work - but only if the birds and mice dont eat them first! I do get a bit fed up with the amount I have to put down and dont really want to use them as meals for anything other than slugs so thats why I have only given 3 starsVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Slug & snails are no more!!
I would highly recommend this product, if like me, you have a problem with slugs and snails eating all your plants. I also found the product to be appealing due to the fact it's child & pet safe. Having both these I was previously worried about pesticides around them. I had planted many new plants in my garden, only to find within a few days they had all gone. All that remained was tiny little stumps. I knew from this moment something had to be done. I bought this product and followed the instructions. Within a day or so while out cutting the lawn, I found a small pile of slugs hidden within a sheltered part of my garden. All of which were dead! My plants since using the product have been able to grow and mature without getting ate first. Brilliant product, terrible packaging!
Well I get this because I've got cats, a dog & there are foxes/badgers/slow-worms, etc. on my allotment, effective & animal-friendly. But.... The packaging is rubbish. The packets all leaked pellets in transit! Luckily the transit packaging kept the pellets from coming out. When shaking to distribute I did not even have to open the packet, it leaked pellets via the seams! & the clear "window" PLEASE review packaging. Lose the clear "windows" & seal the seams properly. Veggie Patch Protection
I used these on my organic vegetable plot which was getting attacked in all directions from slugs & snails, you don't see any dead slugs & snails but they disappeared. They did start to reappear from adjoining plots a couple of weeks later but a second treatment has seen them off. Being pet friendly my dogs are still allowed to occasionally wonder round the plot to protect from unwanted feline deposits and the birds don't bother with the pellets. The only down side is the box is very flimsy and leaks pellets everywhere, I've treated the plot twice without opening the box but not a problem if you drop the box in a plastic bag - The poor box problem may have been due to a few days in the post but worth bearing in mind if you've got rug rats or pups about.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Came within time frame. Very effective- if used according to instructions. The plastic wrapping held the cardboard carton well. One corner of the carton was damaged (dropped?) but fortunately none of the contents spilled out. Safe and successful.
Glad to find a product that is safe for all other creatures, obviously unless they consume vast amount. Not sure how to know how effective until damaged plants recover and do not continue to be eaten. New seedlings have been ok so far. Put pellets down at greenhouse door and you could see slim trail did not go in so must have eaten or just been it off entering.
