I have used it 3-4 times now. I mainly wanted to use it on my 10 dwarf and semi-dwarf fruit trees. I wasn't sure it would have the reach for some of them, but it has performed just fine. I have also sprayed my fence rows and driveway. I'm impressed so far. I like the way it agitates the spray as I use wetable powders, and also cleans up easy.

Used for first time today. Worked perfect. Put out 7 gal. Of product. A bit heavy when full but better straps would help with that. Washed out pretty easy. Liked NOT having to stop and pump up (like small sprayer) allowing to spray more product quicker. I expect sprayer to last because it seems to be well built.

We have about 5 acres of woods that have been invaded by some really bad invasive weeds. I've been fighting them for quite a few years now and have found that herbicides are the best way to go. I started using a handheld sprayer but that was really hard work to carry and it required a lot of trips to refill. My wife felt sorry for me a few years back and bought me a relatively inexpensive backpack sprayer that, nonetheless, is made by a company with a good name. It worked well for a couple years but a poor design feature made itself known. The compression piston has a rubber plunger that is held on with a small spring. Over time and with exposure to chemicals the rubber and spring deteriorate and the plunger detaches from the piston. Replacing it is a pain, requiring disassembly of half the sprayer. However, this past winter I did replace the plunger, but it detached again this summer. That's when I decided to buy a better sprayer. This new sprayer has a much better design, using an o-ring instead of the rubber plunger. Although I have not tried replacing the o-ring, the owner's manual claims it can be easily done in just a few minutes. The old sprayer also had only shoulder straps, making it stressful on my shoulders when it was full. The new sprayer has a waist band in addition to the shoulder straps, allowing weight to be placed on the hips instead of the shoulders. Much more comfortable. This new sprayer also comes with a nice selection of nozzles for different purposes. I've found the adjustable nozzle works well for me, providing nice coverage while allowing me to sharpen or broaden the spray as needed. My old sprayer had just the one (adjustable) nozzle that never did seem to spray very evenly no matter what I did. I also like that this sprayer can handle quite high pressure (120 psi as I recall), allowing me to get really good penetration when needed. I can also completely empty the tank while spraying whereas my old sprayer always ended up with about a pint or more of mix left in the sprayer no matter how I contorted my body to try and drain it. The only thing I find somewhat annoying about this sprayer is that it does not hold its pressure for more than about 10 minutes. If I go longer than that without spraying then I have to pump it up again. However, it's only a slight annoyance. Since getting this sprayer I figure I've put at least a hundred gallons through it and it's still working great. If I eventually end up having to replace the o-ring I'll try to get back and write about how that went.Read full review

I have always paid $15 or $20 for a sprayer and they never last more than two years. This is the most I have paid for one and I am hoping it will last for years. It is lightweight and seems more durable than the ones I am accustomed to. I have only used it twice but I like the ease and continuity of the spraying. I empty and clean it after every using and only time will tell about the durability.

Worked well. Spray range was increased over the one gallon hand carry sprayers. The unit is pretty heavy with 4 gallons of water. I set it on a table about waist height to get it on my back. This worked well. Sure beats filling the one or two gallon sprayers several times.

Very happy with this sprayer. Seems as well made as others in this class. Harness is comfortable and handle is well placed. I like that it will accept teejet nozzles and the pump is easy to service.

I was as sick of buying a new 1 1/2 gallon tank every year. They never lasted longer. I love not having to refill as often and the fact you can pump as you go. Hoping it lasts a long time!
