Spraying is easy. Moving the furniture away from the walls is hard work.
We had hundreds of carpet moths on some pheromone sticky traps, but this did not control the moths, so after 3 year we used the formula C spray around the edges of carpets in 4 rooms and haven't seen a moth now for 3 months, so well pleased. We only used a quarter of the amount supplied, so we have the chance to respray. The difficult part is moving all the furniture and bookcases from the wall, spraying is the easy part. Poor spray attachment
I can’t comment on how effective this product is yet, but its active ingredient is identical to most others on the market, so one assumes that it works. However, the sprayer / mister attachment is poor quality. It sprays an inconsistent mist and dribbles copiously. The manufacturer should invest in a better spray head and then all would be well. SPRAY OR POWDER ?
I bought this product as the bottle contained twice as much of the same chemical as other manufacturers offered. I also got the double pack as it offered much better value and our infestation was much wider than we first thought PLUS it asks you to repeat the treatment after a month. I have now also purchased the powder type of moth killer as you can leave that on the surface of the carpet under furniture where it can't be seen. A belt and braces approach that does appear to have succeeded in getting rid of the moths. We do have numerous damaged areas to the 100% wool carpet in our lounge often in quite random places but always under furniture or curtains. The mask isn't a brilliant fit but I have worn it and I have had several coughing fits during application. The powder may be a better option if you have breathing issues as I have applied that treatment without any adverse reaction.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

VERY EFFECIENT DOES THE JOB
I HAD TO USE THIS SPRAY ON TWO OCCASIONS AS THE MOTHS WERE VERY PERSISTANT. I EVENTUALLY FOUND THEY WERE COMING FROM A BASKET FULL OF LOGS!! SPRAYED THE LOGS AND THE WICKER BASKET, ALSO IN CORNERS ANS UNDER LONF CURTAINS AGAIN. JOB DONE. Carpet moths
This stuff is good and appears to work well. I vacuumed the carpets, sprayed this, waited and a number of larvae appeared to come to the carpet surface with their toes turned up! I revacuumed the carpets after two weeks, sprayed again and waited for any others that had hatched in the interim. I’ve done this again after an interval of four weeks and will do it again in a month’s time. Oddly they only seemed to have attacked certain carpets, 100% wool maybe as opposed to a wool/mixed fibre carpet. You have to get down on your hands and knees though to see these larvae as they are about 3 to 4mm long and newly hatched ones even shorter. One spray does plenty!
We didn't realise what the little 'things' were until we checked online. Absolutely horrified. Vacuumed the carpet which seemed to slow things down. Lifted the bed and there were hundreds of them that look like little grains of rice that made my skin crawl. Found the spray online and ordered 2. First of all, the carpet was thoroughly vacuumed and then the spraying began. Make sure you wear the gloves and face mask provided and open a window. I soaked the edges of the carpet which, apparently, is where the eggs are laid and then sprayed the rest of the carpet- but not too much. Shut the door and leave it to do it's job- we left it about 10 hours. Fantastic product as we haven't seen any more since. Nothing on the carpet anywhere. Not working on my larvae.
I have larvae coming in from an outside wall I have the exact location and have sprayed all around it till it us soaked, and I mean I've already used 2 bottle's, yes it stop's them for a day Ir two but then they just crawl through it happy as Larry and up the wall and they are defiantly not dead, only about 3 to 4 every two or three days but that's not good enough for me I wanted them all dead or dying but no ,so I don't know what I'm gonna do except look for another productVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
