Sorted my problem.
My 2010 Civic Type R developed a fault where only the drivers side mirror would fold in when pressing the button. The left would do absolutely nothing. After doing some research, I found that replacing the guilty part (the shut-off device) would more than likely fix my issue. I found the part I needed here and decided to give it a go. It only took me a few minutes to remove the mirror cap and swap out the faulty SOD - now both my mirrors work! It's quite reassuring that August Motors have a presence here, as it gives confidence that the part is genuine will hopefully last. 2008 Honda civic type s gt Sod for electronic folding mirrors

Honda Shut Off Device (SOD)
I bought a pair of these to replace my faulty SOD after my attempts to repair it didn’t go to plan. It’s much harder than the YouTube video makes out! However, replacing these little units is much easier than trying to fix your old one. These appear to be well made and are a direct replacement for the original. Definitely a good purchase. Works as it should.
Once the mirror back cover is removed (search for You Tube videos which explain how to do this), it is an easy job to change the Shut Off Device (SOD) module.
