Compact/lightweight
What can I say, it's a Leupold. I mounted this scope on a new Mini-14. Not having the option to "bore sight" by removing the bolt and looking through the barrel I aimed at the center of a 2 foot by 2 foot piece of cardboard at 25 yards. The first two shots were touching in the center of my aiming point. Is that a testament to the quality of the scope or just luck? Excellent quality at a reasonable price
I mounted this to a Marlin 1895 and it performs extremely well. It exhibits the quality and durability that I have come to expect from Leupold. I used medium height Leupold mounts which work OK, but at some point I may switch to high mounts. I can see a bit of the barrel on the lowest magnification.
