Perfect Egg Cooker lightweight with great features

Excellent egg cooker to be honest I wasn’t expecting too much something you would use once or twice then put away disappointed, as with so many gadgets one buys. This is worth buying everyone uses it and loves it,,easy to use perfect eggs every time, easy to clean and use, just set it up and wait for the buzzer.

    Misleading

This isn't really anything other than an egg boiler. The poached egg tray isn't big enough so you end up with it spilling out, if it was for 2 eggs then you'd be just about ok, 4 eggs you can forget it (see photo, 2p for size) The so called omelette facility must be for a mouse or small mammal because that tray won't fill anyone, a five year old would still be hungry. The only useful attribute this has is the boiled egg function, again don't think you're getting medium eggs in it though, it's blackbird size eggs almost! Disappointed, going to look in to returning it, imagine this is why it's so cheap.

  • Simple Boiled Eggs Cooker

This item arrived promptly and safely. This egg-boiler-steamer-poacher-cooker really is the easiest-to-use of all my basic kitchen gadgets. So far, I have only wanted it to give me 4 'soft-boiled eggs'. I followed the instructions and by filling the supplied 'measured-water-container' for ' 4 eggs, soft' to the required marking with cold water, and then pouring this measured amount directly on to the metal cooking tray, I then placed the tray (containing the 'pricked' eggs) on to the metal cooking plate, then placed the half-ovoid metal cover on top., and then switched on. Within a few minutes, the built-in alarm buzzer started to buzz. I then switched the cooker off and as I had been making some toast during the egg-cooking process, everything came together with excellent timing. The free range eggs were sublime for texture and taste. This little hero for the kitchen will, I feel sure, become a regularly used item for years to come. The only caveat....the buzzer is not as loud as an expensive buzzer, so do not stray far from the cooking area.....unless you want your eggs to be overcooked. Simples!

  • Great bit of kit

Bought this primarily to do boiled eggs in for the kids' breakfast. Really easy to use & being able to do up to 7 eggs at a time is great. I've tried the poached egg tray which again is really easy to use but I haven't got round to trying the omelette tray yet.

  • 3 in 1 Egg cooker

Yes l like the Neo easy to use, just a couple of things to look out for do not remove the dome top when cooking wait for the buzzer, the steam could burn you, poached eggs good but need to get a small egg lift to make it easier to remove the eggs

  • the best

I dont know if its durable as only had it 2 weeks so a bit unfair asking that so early on . Perfect boiled runny eggs each time or hard boiled if wanted for salads best thing ive bought for yrs x.......also easier to wash up than a pan just a plastic tray.

  • Great little machine, BUT don't rely on the buzzer!

I am on a very restricted diet and have an egg for lunch every day, but wasn't having much luck cooking them in a saucepan for some reason, so I got one of these since it had the most positive reviews. It's a great little unit, heats up really quickly, is easy to use and easy enough to clean too. The one thing I would say is that if you follow the instructions it gets you to measure out a certain amount of water for however many eggs you want to cook. Then the water all boils off and once there's no water left the buzzer goes which is how you know the eggs are done. The problem with this is that once all the water is evaporated it leaves limescale-style deposits on the nice clean heated surface around where the heading element is. It did this from the very first use. Since the deposits are by definition "baked on" they're then a pain to remove so you're forever battling to keep the heated surface clean. The instructions suggest using distilled water - perhaps you don't get scale with that but realistically who always has that in their kitchen?? The solution I've found is to always put a full cup (the measuring cup provided) of water in and just use a timer to cook the eggs instead of relying on the buzzer - for me 14 mins gives perfect hard-boiled eggs, and I do 3 or 4 at a time which gives me eggs for 3 or 4 days. That way there's still some water left over once the eggs are done and there's little to no limescale left on the cooking surface. A moist sponge (rough side) then removes any marks and eggy residue quite easily and the shape of the unit means you can even rinse it (carefully) under the tap without getting water into places it shouldn't be. As a result my machine is still spotless and the stainless steel heated surface cleans up beautifully. I've been using the machine this way for almost 5 weeks now, making eggs every few days and since figuring out the water trick it's been fabulous. The eggs come out perfect every time too which is great.

  • Works well

Having never used an egg cooker before and chose this as its compact, can boil, poach and make omelette as well as reasonably priced. Having tried cooking all three and am pleased with result as works well. The instructions and water cup provide good guidance, however I found I have to adjust the amount of water used depending on the size of eggs used.
