Excellent investment
Extremely well made wok which though heavy is nicely balanced . The other great thing with this one is it has a heat conducting base. This ensures you get great heat directly below the pan, so don't have your gas flame up around the sides or you'll not only ruin the pan, but you'll waste gas too! We haven't had a wok with a lid before, which I have to say is an added bonus as it allows the meal to be kept warm for any who want a second helping. Though not for placement in a dishwasher, the non stick surface makes for very easy cleaning. Looks the part but doesn't do the job as it should
This really does look the business, however when you read the enclosed booklet that comes with the wok, it advises the handle may get hot!! How on earth are you supposed to pick it up then? When using the wok to simmer food even on a low heat, there is no where for the steam to escape. No vent in the lid which also gets very hot even the handle. I certainly would not recommend this product due to the above issues which seem very poor design faults. Fit the wok with a handle you can use, put a small hole in the lid to allow steam to escape and fit a suitable lid handle that does not get hot.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Just wok I wanted !!!!
I needed a new wok, as the old non stick Ken Hom wok was sticking ! But was I stuck with it ??? No....not one bit !!! I saw this Wok, made by Villeroy and Boch, who coincidentally made my toilet!!! Well that’s excellent quality too, so I put two and two together and thought ‘That’s the Wok for me!!!’ Am I pleased with it? You bet. Not too heavy, good lining, and a pleasure to cook with. The best thing is the lid doesn’t have the annoying steam vent. The entire pan is good quality with an excellent finish.
