Sharp Shears!
At 40x20mm the finger holes are unlikely to cut off circulation and the 15mm wide contact area is comfortable to squeeze. This 15mm wide red part is also rubberised so offers good grip levels. The metal sheet these likely came from is 3.3mm thick, making them my strongest scissors and closer to shears than office equipment. Both halves are held together with a sturdy nut and bolt fastening that is equally robust. The blades are very sharp and I do mean very. At 45mm long they are flight safe, but opened enough to reveal the cable notice they are over 45 degree's apart. The notched blade is slightly serrated so they will bite on a broom handle rather than just push it out, but I can't imagine the scissors full depth being much use should the serration ever be sharpened away. They do hold a very good edge though, cutting everything from paper and cling film, through to cable and hose. Never trying to buckle the material or themselves. Short scissors are a compromise. For cutting ties and singles these are great though. Even twin poses no problem while that serration lasts.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not really heavy duty.
The handle holes are a little on the small size for the average man's hand and I find them uncomfortable to use as a result.
