Very detailed history by a true original member
The book is very well written and there’s no mud slinging here which is commendable. It spends a lot of time explaining the early “folk” roots of the band. A little too much for my taste. I would rather have read more about the actual gigs and tv shows. But, this is truly written by Russ and it is a great insight into the band. A great American band. I’m a huge Beach Boys fan, but ASSOCIATION harmonies are “in a place all their own.” There will never be another CHERISH, NEVER MY LOVE or WINDY. (Not to mention ALONG COMES MARY)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
