This is a well-written book of fishing for a wide range of big coarse fish which captures the atmosphere and attitude of the time. The author was a full-time worker who fished in his spare time as often as he could. He applied a logical, practical approach which could still be useful today in an age when full-time, professional anglers are quite common. In short, the angler who works full-time and wants to catch big fish could do a lot worse than read this. In fact, it would be helpful for anyone - and it is a good read regardless.
