FANTASTIC LITTLE APPLIANCE
Amazing saves oven power, so, so quick. Make any pie you like, remember to oil lightly and preheat for a few minutes and just watch on removal of pies to take care of your fingers as very hot, remove pies under the crimped lip of pastry makes it easier to lift out. Deep pies, make it quicker by buying readymade pastry, and fillings, must use plastic ring cutter supplied, for perfect fit, do not over fill. A wonderful useful appliance you will not leave in a cupboard. Pies took me about ten to fifteen minutes, allowing for checking them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hi, I like this item 'cos it does what is says on the tin!! Very easy to use and clean. On the day it arrived, I had some 'Ready Made' pastry in the fridge, so I made a steak and kidney pie and a fruit pie (for dessert!) at the same time. Easy to use and a doddle to clean
I have only used the pie-maker 3 times and it worked brilliantly. I have also made a batch of 4 chicken and wild mushroom pies and frozen them so hopefully they will turn out ok too. I didn't cook them for as long as the ones I ate at the time, I will probably put them in for another 10 minutes to warm them up. It says to pre-heat the pie-maker before putting in your pastry but reading some other reviews I went with cooking longer but doing it from cold - around 30 minutes. I did try putting the pastry in while it was hot on one batch but the pastry immediately shrank. I did initially wonder if this was a gimmick, as I could just use the oven, however it works well and is quick and easy to use. Cleaning is just kitchen paper with some vegetable oil. Love this little machine
Love it ! Makes 2 deep pies with crisp brown pastry. I didn't preheat to make it easier to get the pastry in and it was fine. It does get very hot so watch your hands getting the pies out (i tipped it upside down to make it easier) Good non stick interior so easy to wipe out. Makes great pies
A compact, decent looking piece that is easy to use, easy(ish) to clean and it makes great pies with really crisp pastry. The unit comes complete with a pastry cutter, so there's no guess work. This comes with a cutter that you use to cut the base and the lid for the pies. I used ready made crust. Made a delicious meat and potato filling for dinner. Made a pineapple, lemon juice and cinnamon pies for dessert. Very quick once you have made the fillings. Makes a nice pie. Needs trial and error to start. Watch out for thickness of pastry Keep it fairly thin or overlaps in pie base won't cook. Cutter is perfect but be careful of putting base piece of pastry in without overlaps. Would be useful if plates cut off excess pastry when lid closes. Takes a while to get the pastry lid’s to stick, a little trail and arrear. The red light means it’s on, the green light means it’s cooked and ready I suppose.
