Does the job well.
A replacement for a very similar model we've had for about 15 years. It's quieter than the model it replaced, the build quality doesn't feel quite as good as the previous model we had and it lacks one feature - saying how long it has to go before the washing ends. It's possible to set the start time for it to begin, but it's not a facility we find useful. Inside the main washing compartment seems to be made of plastic rather than stainless steel. It's made in Turkey not Germany. It does the job fine, build quality seems to have been reduced slightly in a cost-cutting exercise. Very Disappointed!
We had a previous Bosch dishwasher for at least 40 years with no issues until recently. It was overheating, even when it wasn’t on, hence the reason for a replacement. We know it wasn’t the most expensive model that we chose, but thought that it would be of the same high standard that Bosch produces. Unfortunately, the configuration of the racks leaves much to be desired. We definitely can’t fit in anything like the amount we did in our previous model, and the spacing are too close to allow room in between items sufficiently for them to be washed properly. After the first wash, we had to leave half the pots in to be washed again. We have resorted to spacing items out more, so we are not able to use it to it’s full capacity.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Disappointed not to standard I expect from Bosch.
Unfortunately our Bosch SGS 5342 D/W which was purchased in year 2000 broke down and it had to be replaced. The Bosch SMS 24AW01G WAS ON SPECIAL OFFER AND WITH AN EXTRA 15% off it seemed a bargain. It does not compare with our previous Bosch, workmanship poor. a plastic feel to the fixtures , on full wash and heat, does not dry the dishes properly. Manual poor, hard to read without strong reading glasses. German company, I expect manufactured in China. Not to the standard I expect from Bosch.
