Worked for blepharitis
Bought this for my husband who had been using a liquid from the optician for months with no effect. He had very red flaky eyelids that were sore and crusty and a small stye. A local pharmacist wouldn’t provide anything saying that they no longer treat the condition and just to bathe his eyes with warm saline. I remembered my mum using Golden Eye ointment and found it on EBay. After applying morning and evening for 2 days there was a noticeable improvement. The redness disappeared and the stye cleared within 3 days. There has been no reoccurrence of the blepharitis since he stopped using it after 2 days as per the instructions. A little golden wonder!
It works out quite expensive as, once opened you should dispose of it within 3 months or thereabouts- and in my case- with more than 2/3 left in the tube. Having said that it certainly eases any irritation on the eyelid( where the lashes grow ) For some years it has not been available in Boots and I gave up looking for it. This is my first opportunity to obtain a tube and it did not disappoint. So- although, yes, it is expensive, but it cleared up my red and itchy eyelid, with only one application ( applied sparingly ) I’m satisfied!
