A Win from Citizen!
This item actually was lost in the mail in my eBay purchase, but I bought it elsewhere, and I was asked for a review so, YES, this is a fantastic watch from Citizen, their latest design of the Promaster Navihawk series.
I've always liked this series, and I have the Blue Angels version, but I love the re-design here, where the dial appears even more like a flight instrument. They've done a really fine looking fade from blue to near black, as if you are looking into a night sky. Horizon lines and guidelines draw in your gaze in a unique manner, and you get both a tachy and a manual bi-directional compass.
As usual, Eco Drive solar is the best of both worlds, with the no-battery worry, like an auto, but yet no service costs, like a quartz. Reliable, accurate, and this is a radio controlled version, so it's super accurate in fact, and always updates itself. World time zones with quick adjust, a chronograph, date, day, 24 hour indicator, DST, power indicator, and Sapphire crystal. Respectable lume and a very clear and visible hand set. Perpetual calendar. 200m WR.
I've wanted this watch since it was first announced, and finally the price is starting to drop, which makes it more than worth it. Actually decided to gift it to myself, since it did not arrive in time for the intended recipient, due to having to the mail loss and having to re-order it.
Not sure I'd spring for it, at full retail, but, even full price, it's not easy to find something packed with this many features. Terrific bracelet, although only two micro adjust points. Very comfortable fit on the wrist, and perfectly sized, with an easy to read dial, at 48mm.
I have a lot of watches, and many Citizens among them. This is most certainly my new favorite!
