Ben Cookson directs this adaptation of the children's book by Michael Morpurgo which follows young shepherd boy Jo (Noah Schnapp) as he learns and must keep an important secret. After a chance encounter, Jo discovers that Jewish refugees are being smuggled across the French border into Spain and one of the smugglers, Benjamin (Frederick Schmidt), is waiting for his young daughter to return home after they were separated. Determined to help in his town's efforts, Jo begins assisting the smugglers, however the Nazis are closing in and have their suspicions about the movement of people through the mountains. Jo does all he can to hide the desperate Jewish people from the Nazis, putting his own life on the line. The cast also includes Anjelica Huston, Jean Reno and Sadie Frost.

Hello the film Waiting for Anya excellent is based in the Pyrenees in France in the village the life is normal it never change for many years but when the enemy the start coming everything change this man called Benjamin hiding in the mountain and it come to know about a operation to smuggle children to safety in Spain from the horror of War ,in a heroic act of defiance JO from the village promise to assist Benjamin in his mission but soon the enemy the came to know what it was doing and that is when the start looking for him and Havoc start to kick in superb acting from the actors thank very much regardsVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
