Great digital delay. Great tone for non analog. Not a dive in and get desired results type of echo though. It takes a little getting used to but once you fully understand it you'll be pleased you got one! It's not a typical delay and it's tones and settings are rather unique. My only real dislike of this effect is the looping function. I previously owned a Boss DD20 twice, and the loop was very simple: tap once and you're recording, tap again and the loop plays back. On this delay you have to hold down the record switch until finished recording which you then release the switch for playback. In retrospect, this delay allows you to alter/manipulate the loop and even lets you record a loop with a desired delay preset (minus the 1 sec + reverse), and allows you to speed up/slow down/change pitch/reverse the loop, AND cycle through presets to have a desired layer added. The DD20 only allows one non delay loop, and the next preset over to play over the top but you cant record it as a layer. This delay also has 8 presets instead of just 4, each preset is extremely useable. All in all this delay is worth it. You can even get straight up reverb AND ring modulation out if it. Who doesn't love an effect with an alternate use!? All in all I'd definitely get another one for the price range it's in. EHXFTW!Read full review
I've owned the SMMH(Stereo Memory Man w/Hazarai) for about 3 months now. It is a very nice delay with some cool extreme functions. Pros: 1) The looping function fits my style well. Press and hold to record. Lift your foot to stop. Very intuitive. I LOVE how you can loop in any mode. More delay/loopers could benefit from this idea. 2)Reverse is wonderful! 3) The modulation is very nice on the 300+mod mode. I can get some really nice analog DMM sounds. Cons: 1)I wish the presets were easier to access while standing up. 2) Some of the reverb/delay settings can sound a little brittle and digital when extreme. 3) wish it had an external tap tempo jack so I could sync with other pedals. All my cons are more nitpicking than any real complaint about the quality of the device.
I bought this knowing what it does -manually activated reverse playback, trippy reverse-attack delays, and the experimental sounds possible with the manipulation of the looper. It does all of these things as expected and no other pedal that I know of does. However, if “Hazarai” means everything, why is there not a tap subdivision button like even the cheap Deluxe Memory Boy has? Why on earth is there no expression pedal input? Why no sweep filter, swell delay, pitch delay . . . This digital delay is vastly lacking features - but if you want what it has to offer, as I did, you’ll shell out the cash and be glad you did. Maybe one day, EHX will update this pedal to be true to it’s name. Until then, here’s hoping!

The product arrived promptly and in tact. My experience w/e-bay has been outstanding. This vendor billed me quickly and shipped it right away. No problems here. The Memory man has MANY uses, but it takes some time to figure it out. Plan on spending a few days and many shows before you can optimize its many uses. This is NOT an effect for players that aren't into spending hours and hours figuring out an effect. (plug and play fellas may not dig it) But if you are a tech kind of player you will LOVE it's capabilities! Thanks e-bay!
I have wanted a Memory Man for a long time, and this variety is a great and versatile variation. Finally found one that wasn't close to $300 with fees, and I ain't getting any younger. It's got a great loop feature, and the delays and echos are vast and wondrous to the ear. I'm still giddy just thinking about it. Thanks eversomuch.

Just started playing with this. It's like having a keyboard backing you. Strike a chord and use the extra soft switch like a sustain pedal. Appregios or just fill out your sound. A unique pedal for sure.

great pedal!!!excelent tool to have in your rig. looping is a lot fun, nailing the tap on time is bit tricky. reverse echo is a feature opens your mind to experience. mod + echo is good at its job. regular delay is just regular, maybe i need to play around with it some more
Product was as advertised and works fine.

Ok, you've watched the videos, you've seen the reviews.... the thing is, it is better than you suspect. It is amazing, and cool, and I spend way too much time playing with it.

It's a stereo delay, a modulated delay, a reverb, an echo, a REVERSE echo, a looper... and if you really go nuts it can be a chorus/flanger/phase adjuster or feedback machine. Oh, and you can save your presets as you go! SO MANY KNOBS! Tweakers' heaven! A great filter knob to roll off some of the highs to warm it up to sound more like an analog delay. And like mentioned above, as with any good EHX pedal you can get some absolutely insane sounds and tones by pushing the pedal to its extremes. 10/10 My favorite delay to date.
