'Buildings of England' Indispensable if you're interested in architecture.
Always try to find the appropriate 'Buildings of England' on eBay for whatever county we're visiting in the caravan next. Assuming I haven't got it already, that is. As with all the Pevsner volumes I have, this is a high quality work, with great detail on the buildings of Oxfordshire. When you consider how many there are in the city of Oxford alone, that is no mean task.
