  • Brilliant aussie drama

Second only to Brian Brown's premier role in A Town like Alice, he portrays a country father who feels trapped in city life after a disastrous marriage. He has to support himself and family by odd farming jobs during depressive times and eventually the marriage breaks down and Brown is forced to take his child Buster on the road. Love interest is an old flame who looks after her dying dad on a sheep farm and the child brings them together after a near dead fight for life of Buster. Other country friends play exceptional roles in this heartwarming story of stoic perseverance for the love of a child. Rebecca Smarts role as Buster is simply magic and her demeanor tugs constantly at heart strings. Not to be missed.
