    Non Shakespearean Band of Brothers

If this isn’t taken up as a screenplay for a non-shakespearean telling of the battle of Agincourt then there is no justice in the world. The movie that has to be made, a true underdog tale from the master of historical fiction, Bernard Cornwell. The big story is the actual Agincourt campaign of Henry V, the fictional little story is the compelling account of a lowly English longbowman. Fans of fantasy, history and military adventures will live this, as do I. A bargain at £25 as signed first editions are on eBay for £79. One to keep for the kids when they grow up and ask about Henry V.

Not for the person who, like myself, just wants to know the historical known facts!

Not what I expected. Too much 'make believe' The first few pages was all I could take before I threw the book into the trash can !

  • The master is back.

Set directly after Waterloo, Sharpe, Harper and several of his skirmishers are sent on a mission to Paris ahead of the British army. Bernard Cornwell at his best. 0
