Easy to use, easy to clean
Bought the flatbed microwave as I’ve had one before, different make, and loved it. Needed a new one and wanted a smaller but the same 800w power ,as my last one was huge. This Sharp flatbed microwave is a standard size , easy to operate and easy to keep clean. Benefit of having no turntable is there is more usable space inside so you can put more than one thing in, if you need to. The flatbed cooks differently to one with a turntable and I generally find the cook more evenly. The quick start is useful . I Have used the preset button for baked potatoes. Cooks by weight, with the assumption each potato is a certain weight, and you can enter how many potatoes you are cooking. It was successful. My husband hates change but has adapted very quickly into using this microwave, as the functions differ slightly from our previous one. It has an electric child lock on, which I understand can be taken off ,but the child lock is overridden easily by simply opening the door. The beeps when the cooking time has ended are nice and loud and will continue to beep at intervals of a minute or so as a reminder,until you open the door again. The microwave was reduced in price and a further £15 off at the time of purchase. So I was pleased as I expected to pay a lot more for a microwave like this, particularly as flatbed microwaves tend to be more expensive. I’m very happy with this microwave and can certainly recommend it if you want something easy to use and keep clean at a reasonable price. Tip: download the full instructions from the QR code provided, as the instructions sent with the microwave are very vague.
