  • Definitely worth reading

This is a very interesting book, written by the GP of St Helier about the wartime occupation of Jersey by the Germans. The doctor was so dedicated to his patients and when crucial supplies were curtailed and restricted by the occupying force he was quite ingenious in his endeavours to produce them by his own efforts and a good knowledge of physics and chemistry. His stories detail the lack of medical and pharmaceutical supplies, and how it was a matter of life and death to his patients. People such as he should not be forgotten, and neither should the whole history of this part of WWII.

  • Doctor Jersey war time

Excellent book but spoilt because about 20 pages where the print was so faint it was very difficult to read.
