Harrowing wartime story
An inexpensive hard back book well packaged and quickly delivered. Perhaps more interesting to someone who was an evacuee during WW2 or who has relatives who were, though equally a eye opener for those who are ignorant of the terrible treatment received by some evacuees. Sadly, it casts Welsh hosts in a very poor light which should not reflect on many wonderful people in that country whose care and kindness resulted in some evacuees returning time and time again after the war.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
