  • Great for the avid hillwalker.

A great book for a great price. The author is very thorough and all avid hillwalkers should own one Sadly not made for a hillbag..

  • Another book on the Munros.

Okay, I've just bought this book. My first impression: The maps have little detail and the route descriptions are a vague. I am used to following the Nuttalls guides which give a clear detailed analysis of the walks and terrain, and have maps that, although only hand-drawn, give a good idea of the route. I'm sure Cameron, a well-known celebrity walker and journalist, has walked the Munros...but I think this book could have been compiled by sitting in an arm-chair and researching the hills on-line! It's not terrible, it lists the Munros and has some nice pictures, I just expected a bit more substance.
