Confessions of an English Opium-eater (Penguin Popular Classics) #17.
This is another book I first read many years ago. It is fascinating look at life in London in the early 19th century, as experienced by a bohemian bachelor. In spite of its time it is very readable, more so than Charles Dickens, a near contemporary.
