Perfect
I was a little nervous about spending this amount of money; however, I was getting completely fed up of my score lines not being adhered to when it came to the actual breaking: I have tried two or three different running pliers and to date the ones that cost me a fiver were doing the best job: So why would I consider spending a whole lot more? Well I have two Glass cutters by this company, one for sheet/float glass and one for decorative textured glass, they both score totally true but I was still getting errant separations where the score line would suddenly divert and I would end up with a sail shaped piece of Glass and not the straight sided piece I actually wanted: So, I bit the bullet and closed my eyes when payment went through: What an absolutely brilliant result. I took a large sheet of virgin Float glass, and scored a line, lined the tool up and squeezed gently as instructed, Nothing happened; okay, take a deep breath check alignment, squeeze a bit harder and OMG straight running right through the length of the score, slow controlled, straight sided piece of glass, I did another just to make sure it was not a fluke, spot on no faults, no chips and perfect ready for use. If I could criticise one little nit picking point, it would be that unlike the cheaper plastic ones, there is no obvious marker to the top of the head so that you have a sight-line with your score line, there is one to the front/nose of the head but when you are using it, you are stood behind the tool so you cannot see the line. Easy fix, I just continued the line that is on the nose of the head with a permanent black marker so that I have that sight-line to line up with my score line. I love this tool, it is the right weight, it is versatile and above all, it does the job it was designed for, so it was and is well worth the outlay.
