Initally very skeptical but this carpet cleaner is AWESOME!!!
Initially, I was very skeptical about this carpet cleaner as I had tried various so called carpet cleaners/steamers in the past that were just not up to scratch. However, after doing a little research I decided to go for it. I was not disappointed, this cleaner is AWESOME! I bought mine used, hence there were no instructions, not a big problem, putting it together was straightforward. After getting some handy hints from online videos I got to work on my carpets and the results were amazing. Literally years of dust and dirt were pulled up from my carpets leaving them noticeably clean and refreshed. Not much drying time either. The item is a little heavy but I prefer this because it feels solid and this probably improves suction. You will have to empty the tank a few times if covering a large area but I guess a larger tank would make it heavier! Unless you have very wide steps you will have to use the upholstery brush to do the stairs. It works very well. Be sure to secure the cleaner on the stairway to ensure it doesn't fall as the upholstery brush hose is not of infinite length! One weakness I noticed was the clear plastic front nozzle. As I bought my cleaner used I noticed that the plastic clips holding the nozzle were already broken off on one side. This reduces effective suction. I imagine it's very easy to break these clips, the nozzle is at the front and very easy to inadvertently hit it against skirting or clip the front edge on a door frame, so BE CAREFUL. I use strong tape to hold the nozzle in place while cleaning. It's easy to remove and replace when the nozzle needs to be cleaned out. I guess this spoils the overall look but I don't care... this carpet cleaner REALLY WORKS!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Bissell Carpet Cleaner
This was excellent value compared to other sites selling the same one including Bissell it’s self. I have had Bissell previously and I have to say they are easy and efficient to use, so easy just to get out to do a small job or a large on. It’s amazing how much dirt it lifts out. Does a good job
It is quite a heavy machine but I’m not going to be going all round the house every day with it but it is quite sturdy. Instruction on how to put it together could have been better as one of the drawings for a piece that needed to be attached wasn’t very clear which way it went. Went on YouTube to see how it went together and even the chap doing the video was baffled, but we got there in the end. Used it on a light grey carpet and it came u lovely. Does the job at a great price.
Bought this to replace an old Bissell which finally gave up after 20 odd years! It does a really good job on large areas as the machine does all the work for you. The attachment is great for smaller areas. Almost all of the fluid is extracted leaving the carpet just damp. I considered the later models with all the bells and whistles but this does the job at half the price with tried and tested technology so is likely to be as reliable as its predecessor.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
