This is a great book for identifying and learning about trees commonly found in Britain (native and non-native), and has an interesting section on ecology, tree biology, and uses of wood. Although not as comprehensive as the other Collins tree guide, it's a handier size and I find it easier to ID from photographs than from drawings, so the two books go well together.

Purchased this as a Christmas Present for my Daughter-in-Law, she loves it, spent most of Boxing Day reading it! She says its a lovely book, which she will treasure, its just at the right level, and she'll be using it as a source of reference for many years.

Can’t say much more than it’s to date the best book of its type I’ve seen. Easy to read, really clear photos and great size, most guides are too small. There’s a lot of information in this book.

Great book for identifying wintering deciduous trees. Bought to help my knowledge whilst surveying the hedgerows In Dorset. Let's hope we can improve the health of our wildlife in the UK.
