I haven't actually read this one yet. However, I have read three others, which were brilliant, and I had to force myself to put them down. I'm positive this will be no different. Brilliant book. Initially appears as though the two stories are disconnected, but all becomes clear in the end. Interesting setting in the Miners' Strike and the horrors of that (thanks to Maggie).
