About this product

Product Information

In this selection of ideas for children's parties for children aged one to twelve, Jane Asher gives advice about numbers, invitations, choosing a theme, decoration and other preliminaries that go towards making a memorable party. She also includes instructions for easy-to-make fancy dress costumes plus a collection of recipes for party dishes, cakes and drinks and ideas for games and entertainment. Amongst the themes suggested is an animal party for two year olds, with sandwiches and biscuits shaped as animals and a cat birthday cake. For older children there are, amongst others, parties with a royal theme, a fairground theme and a disco. Jane also writes about outside parties and suggests suitable venues for outings. As well as parties for different age groups there are special occasion parties such as for Christmas, Easter and Hallowe'en. Each party is illustrated with colour photographs and where necessary step-by-step diagrams are included. Jane Asher is also author of Jane Asher's Party Cakes and Jane Asher's Fancy Dress .
