  • Surprising and sometimes moving account of the actor David Tomlinson's life.

The basic 'Yes, 'No' responses apply to me and may not necessarily be a good general guide as old copies of the book are rather expensive now. It is an autobiography of the actor David Tomlinson which carries the same charm with which the author is associated as an actor. Luckier Than Most is very engaging and includes the highs, lows and everything in between, about the actor's life. I bought the book, at the current high price, having seen the one man play 'The Life I Lead', which is based on it. In the play Miles Jupp plays David Tomlinson talking to the audience about his life. Both actor and play are excellent, and if you are familiar with the subject's film or stage work I recommend The Life I Lead to you.

  • And Action!

I gifted this book to a relative of David Tomlinson. She was delighted as having never met him found it a wonderful family history.
