The 1980s computer theme would have been right on the money when this novel was written but now it seems as outdated as a storyline about the advances made in steam technololgy in the late 19th century. But Bond fans like me will love it, even though Gardiner's tale on the Bond Universe is not nearly as compelling as Fleming's original.
