This is a graphic novel adaptation of the fourth Discworld novel, "Mort". "Mort" is the first Discworld novel to heavily feature the character of Death, who takes on a mortal apprentice named Mort. The original novel was published in 1987, and Terry Pratchett considered it the first Discworld novel with which he was truly "pleased". This comic is a good entry point for readers new to the Discworld series, as recommended by Pratchett himself
