Good old fashion recipes in a small easy to follow paperback. Bought this for my daughter for Christmas as a stocking filler, and she's tried a couple of soups so far. And so far they have turned out great! looking forward to her making some more! I like small cook books as they are easy to store away. There aren't many recipes in this book , but they have included some very nice ones with a variety of different ingredients to suit all tastes. I wouldn't recommend this if you are looking for something fancy, but for easy to follow, everyday recipes it tick all the boxes.

I have several of these books about different country dishes, desserts and cakes and as I am so pleased with the others I purchased, I was sure this one would be good. It's excellent! Country soups made from old fashioned recipes with no additives or rubbish and with ingredients that are easy to find. The illustrations are very good and give a peek into how we used to live before everything became superfast and computerized.
