I've started reading this book, and I have to say it's utterly gripping. The prologue sets the scene of a bloody climax of an historic event, that weaves its way seamlessly into the protagonists lifetime. Its engaging and rich in description and world building but without being too 'heavy' going. Making this an exciting rich and masterfully written fantasy epic.
