I am very interested in anything to do with the Tudor's and Phillipa Gregory is my favourite author on this subject. I have read others but still come back to her. The Constant Princess, or Catalina of Spain - Queen Katherine of Aragon, is about just that, the Queen who suffered so much under the hands of Henry VIII. The book starts when she is a small child. Quite a lot of speculation regarding her marriage to Arthur, Henry's older brother and this theme follows on through the book. Katherine made a promise to Arthur on his deathbed and she intends to keep it. Up to Phillipa Gregory's usual standard and an excellent read. Phillipa always seem to make me feel as if I were actually there, a spectator on the sidelines. Well worth reading.
Philippa Gregory is an amazing author, she writes in a way that leaves you wanting to read more.
