sturdy stand, allows bck peddling, good value
Well made and sturdy, fits 29er MTB tyres up to about 2.4". Hold the bike very well with these sort of tyres. The upright piece can be detached (e.g. easier storage) and locks in with 2 catches and is a firm enough fit. The pedals are clear, so easy to back pedal to lube the chain etc. Or work on the bike. Good rubber feet to protect the floor and keep from sliding. The design could be improved though - as thinner wheeled/tyred bikes will have some side to side movement where the tyre does not fill the witdth of the stand. Oxford should make the base have a slight 'u' or 'v' shape, and include an (upside down) 'v' shaped sleeve to slide over the uprights to lock the top of the tyre in the middle. Other designs similar do this with 2 cones put together in a shallow 'V' - but as those cost 2-3 times the price of this oxford one, then they are overpriced. This is good value at £15. But fits 2.3-2.4 wide MTB tyres perfectly snuggly, so perfect for MTB as is.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great solution
Works great, and really simple. No need to screw to floor or wall, and keeps my bike from hitting wall when stored in my apartment. Fits together in 10 seconds, and seems very stable, but of course the whole thing will fall over if you give it a shove - but that's OK as it is just supposed to be free standing. Very well made with a tough paint coating. Comes in two sections which just slot together by holding in two spring locking buttons. This makes it so easy to transport or store away when not in use. Great for pre-ride checks
Perfect for my 29er MTB. MTB wheel stand
This is a very sturdy tubular stand made for OXFORD. It comfortably takes the large 29" x 2.6" tyre on my bike. A little bit of self assembly is required from delivery (you have to push the tall tyre hoop into the base stand - it is a snug fit which ensures no play in the stand).
