Product Information
A refugee from eastern Europe, Peres reached office whilst still in his twenties as the state of Israel was born. As defence minister after the 1973 war he rebuilt Israel's army and architected the Entebbe raid. As prime minister in the 1980s he saved the economy from near-collapse. Latterly he has been central to the peace negotiations in Oslo and elsewhere. In addition to peace revelations, the book contains other controversial material including an account of the Dimona atomic energy project. His memoir gives first-hand accounts of history in the making and the people who shaped it.Product Identifiers
