Author:STARKIE, ALLAN. The half-naked victim was discovered in bed, clubbed to death, then stabbed through the heart, his bedroom door mysteriously tied shut. This is more than a royal story, and much more than a murder drama - it is the story of a modern Cinderella who tries to cling onto her prince after he removes the glass slipper.

  • Tiresome and boring.

I enjoy reading true crime and thought this would be an interesting read as I recall reading all about this unfortunate murder in the media at the time, however the book is entirely about the author and his experiences with Sarah Ferguson, which I found extremely boring. It’s not until you get to a few pages in the last chapter, that there is anything about the incident. However it covers the court case from the author sitting as a member of the public in the viewers gallery at the Old Bailey ! I’m so glad I didn’t pay full price for this book when it was first printed. In all I found it tiresome as I didn’t want to read about Sarah Ferguson and the author, and boring.
