About this product

Product Information

This unit deals with sequences of real numbers. It describes in detail various properties that a sequence may possess, the most important of which is convergence. The five sections of the unit cover how to picture the behaviour of a sequence by drawing a sequence diagram, monotonic sequences, null sequences, general convergent sequences, together with techniques for calculating their limits, divergent sequences, giving particular emphasis to sequences which tend to infinity or to minus infinity, bounded convergent sequences, and the Monotone Convergence Theorem. One subsection is intended to be studied in conjunction with an audio, available in the Analysis A Block Pack (order code M208/MMPAA). The video programme, Pi and e, associated with this unit is available on DVD00126 (order code M208/DVD02).
