I had a large chip on the windscreen and thought oh no insurance job and £100 excess to pay.Its something you cant leave these days due to all the pot holes and next thing its a crack. So I went on Amazon for reviews of repair kits, then went on YouTube to see how you do it.The kit came, read the instructions and from start to finish took me 15 minutes.I had a lip of glass around the chip which was elevated from the screen.I didn't want to use the blade too much in case I made it worse so left it.I put 5 drops in the tube and had some excess to wipe off when I removed the plunger.I applied the resin in my garage, left for 5 minutes, then drove the car outside into daylight for the resin to set properly. The result is excellent though you can still see where the damage was but it was a large chip. However the repair is rock solid and put my mind at rest from it developing into a crack.I would recommend this item to anyone. And lets face it you cant make the chip worse can you.
the product works, unfortunately, I couldnot obtain an ultraviolet light, this would have speeded the curing time, and as the repair was made , the sun went away and the clouds came. so took longer to cure. the chip was filled but left a visible mark. maybe down to the curing time. the car passed the mot after, and it did stop further damage to the sceen. good instructions on use included
Did the job on a bullseye type chip. You can see the repair if you look close enough but it’s good enough. Wasn’t expecting much as the chip was a couple of years old and it’s best to fix them when they are new before dirt has chance to get into it.
