Heavy going
Very comprehensive, but not exactly a book you can dip in and out of for a quick recipe. Bible is exactly the right word for it. I love Prue Leith hence sending for the book and will have all the information at my finger tips if/when I need it.

Excellent basic all round cook book
The is the sort of cookbook you can't be without. It covers everything you could possibly want to know from how to make 'Tuiles' to best Shepherd's Pie recipe. I lent my copy and simply had to get another; one don't expect your copy back if you lend it !
