Love and intrigue remembered
I read this for my book club and would not otherwise have done so. It was poetically written but I felt the one-sided conversation unrealistic and I could not relate to the characters which, given their status and setting, was not surprising. I was, however, kept interested throughout and enjoyed the story. Rather romantic and old-fashioned.
