Packed full of information abou t bird behaviour.
An account of how a bird -lover hand reared a rook called Chicken and later a magpie called Spike. Esther Woolfsdon is a brilliant author and the book is packed full of avian knowledge. Corvids are known to be highly intelligent birds and Esther Woolfson's relationship with Chicken, a rook that she rescued as a fledgling, is a fascinating insight into their relationship. She is a wonderful writer, a humane and compassionate person and anyone with an interest in animal life will find her descriptions, insights and reflections on the life of birds; Corvids in particular, fascinating and absorbing. Highly recommended, I read it in one sitting. And it has pictures too!
