mixed bag

Quality noise-cancelling cans
These do the noise-cancelling job beautifully. One drawback is the sensitivity to cellphone signals. If yuour phone isd nearby, you hear the occasional brief bleep-click-click sound as the phone communicates with the cell tower. For useing on the plane it's not a problem of course, because your phone should be in "airplane mode" and observe radio silence, and even on one of the newfangled longhaul planes that allow the use of cellphones, the noise (even if substanially attenuated) still drowns it out.
