Condition as advertised, works fine. iTunes only syncs some of my songs, but not all. I have to work on that. Bluetooth generic airpods work fine, and sound good. Some apps that I wanted to load won't install because they want a newer version of the OS. I guess that's what you get for buying an obsolete product. I thought I read that the version 4 has a radio, but it doesn't. Don't know about battery life yet - need to use it more to find out.

Really disappointed in the sound quality of this. I have a very old iPod Nano that I love, and it is starting to fail, so I needed something to replace it and wanted a larger screen but needed to stay with the 30 pin connector so I could use it with my iHome docking station. The 4th gen iPod is the last one to use this. The sound is not anywhere near as good as the 3rd gen iPod Nano that I have that is about 10+ years old. Not sure if it's just this particular one since I bought it used, but I really don't think I would buy this type again.

I am over 50, and like electronic gadgets. I had only used "hand me down" IPODS from my kids over the years - they got the new ones. I have been using my DROID2 phone as my music player, but it got too cumbersome if I was working out and my phone rang - interrupting the music, etc. I finally jumped in with both feet and bought my new IPOD Touch (32gb). More $$'s than I originally wanted to spend, but finally decided to get something that I will use for years. It took about 45-60 minutes at the beginning to set it up, but the item is fairly easy to understand and easy to use. I loaded up over 3,300 songs - more than I really need, but I love the variety, some pictures of the family, a game and took a few pictures; all in the first 24 hours of owning it and it appears to work like a charm and still have over 1/2 of the memory left. The pictures are decent quality (not like my high-end digital camera, but fine for facebook, sharing, etc) but extrememely easy to take, erase, share, etc. Video is very easy to take and quality is good. Access to the internet was very simple - I have wireless in my house and it set up in less than 1 minute. Battery life has been bragged on by others and is one of the reason for choosing an Apple product over others. Another reason for an Apple product is that there are so many accessories that can be used in conjunction with an IPOD vs. some others. Overall, very impressed with the item and would recommend to others - if you are willing to invest in a product for it's features and benefits. I thought the Touch would be something I could use for years to come.Read full review
I bought this ipod because i needed something small and versatile with multiple features like viewing emails, listening to music, skype, games, etc...... this thing is very thin and compact, you can take it anywhere and use it anything! The screen is very great and is very hard to scratch but very easy to clean. Thee back of it is a reflective metal like nickle that scratches very fast thats one disadvantage about it! The battery life is however very short compared to older models. I've had the 1st and the 2nd generation in the past and they would both go for 2 days with god use, this one (the 4th gen) barely scrapes 1 day with good usage, that realy sucks with this because i have to charge it every day! Overall this is a great product except for the battery life which sucks.. But its worth the buy!Read full review
Where do I start? I bought this for my girlfriend, whose oohs and ahhs over my 2nd gen touch prompted me to get this for her birthday. The iPod touch has really become the new standard in portable media players, cannibalizing the competition. The new updates such as the retina display and LED backlighting make images as lifelike as possible—I can’t even see the pixels when I hold it up to my eye. Games look better, interface is cleaner, and album art just “pops.” The system is snappy, and switching apps is a breeze. The update to 4.1 brought multitasking, and I have to say I can’t imagine living without it. It’s mostly just listening to pandora while surfing the web, but it’s still a welcome addition. The cameras are just so-so, and don’t really hold a candle to the iPhone’s REAL HD back cam with flash. But perfectly adequate for VGA quality. Facetime doesn’t really need a high quality cam anyway. Its frame is even thinner than the previous generation’s, but the back is still a glossy fingerprint/scratch magnet. It would have been nice to see the oleo phobic coating and IPS display of the iPhone, but I’m sure this minor complaint will go unnoticed my most people. 512 Megabytes of memory would also be nice to match the iPhone 4, but in everyday use, I never noticed any lag when playing music or running games. As with most flash memory media players, space is an issue for audiophiles, but Apple’s done a really good job of marketing this iPod as a universal tool, not a niche music player. This iPod isn’t perfect, but it’s damn near close. If my own touch weren’t in perfect working condition, I’d snap one of these babies up in a heartbeat.Read full review
I love my iPod Touch 4th generation. It's fast, sleek, fun, and very easy to use. Listen to music while you browse the internet or check your updates on Facebook; it's just a remarkable little device. However, I wish the keyboard would always be large when you turn the ipod on its side (landscape). Sometimes it won't let you use it that way and keeps the keyboard upright (portrait). The camera captures bright colors in well-lit environments. But as soon as you take a picture in the shade or somewhere not so sunny, the photographs look very grainy and have some camera noise. But I'm sure Apple will improve on that, release a new model, and profit off of us once again. Always use a silicone/gel case because the harder cases leave scratches on the back.
I needed a new device to replace my current LG T40 I'm using for music so I started looking and found this iPod for about $30, with Bluetooth, 32GB of storage, and USB support, all of which I was looking for in a music playing device since my current one, the LG T40, doesn't have USB support and only 16GB storage with my SD card. It was a deal I couldn't pass up! To get started with the full-on review, let's start with shipping; The shipping was amazing! It was very fast, and super easy to track! Not to mentioned it shipped over night from Virginia to North Carolina, which was unexpected for free shipping, but I'm not complaining! Second, The product itself; When it arrived, the packaging was... interesting (it was wrapped in bubble wrap and thrown into a bag with a shipping label on it) but secure enough to make it in one piece. The device was in good shape as described, with only some scratches on the back, as expected. The battery of the device, on the other hand, was very disappointing. When playing music only, It gives me about 2-3ish hours on one charge but when doing screen intensive stuff, It'll only last 30ish minutes on a full charge, and that's with the brightness down! People use a touch for more than music. That's the point of an iPod touch instead of a nano or a shuffle. So when it really can't do those other things to long without killing the battery, it defeats the purpose. UPDATE: After a dew days of use, I've noticed the battery getting better? Odd but ok. Instead of taking 30min to get a full charge, it actually took 1-2 hours to charge. This is also with a new cable different from the one that came with the iPod, so I can only assume it was a cable thing and not a battery thing. That's good because I really didn't wanna drop $79 for a battery replacement from Apple. The battery is also lasting me more like 4-6 hours, even with heavy screen usage. However, I do have it in airplane mode so that could be adding to the battery health. With these new discoveries being made in the about a week of use, my rating has changed! One final note, the internal speaker is kinda trash. This doesn't bother me since I mainly use headphones with it but for anyone intending on using the internal speaker a lot, maybe go for a 5th gen iPod touch instead. Over all, would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap MP3 player!Read full review

The 4th Gen Pod Touch is definitely the best iPod Apple has come out with yet, which is pretty amazing considering how many versions of the iPod there have been since the beginning. The processor speed with the latest OS is smoother and quicker then earlier versions too, and the features keep getting better. I have also had all the versions of the iPhone, including this latest iPhone 4, and I'm impressed with how much this iPod does, it basically does every single thing the iPhone does, minus the cellular call ability, but with apps like Skype and Viber you can use it as phone as long as you're connected to wifi. One thing I noticed is my iPod 4th Gen is faster then my iPhone 4, even though both have the most up to date software. My only complaint is that my iPod only has 32 gigs, and the top model has 64gigs. The thing is I still have an iPod classic from many years ago that has 80gigs, and this is the only feature on these devices that have been going backwards and not forward. Since my iTunes was built around iPods that hold more storage, I'm constantly reminded that this newer iPod isn't as good in this area. The price of an iPod with 64Gigs ($399 new) isn't that reasonable in my opinion, especially when the cost of storage devices is so low these days. I mean you can't charge people $100 just for a mere 32 extra gigs of storage - in 2011! So thats pretty budget. Overall this is a solid device, and most people will be satisfied with all the apps, games, features that can be found on the latest iPod 4.Read full review
What can I say that hasn't already been said about the iPod? I bought this mainly for the FaceTime feature to be able to talk to/see my wife when she goes to Europe next spring and also to talk to my son and his family in Washington. This feature is pretty cool, although it dropped the connection a couple of times for no apparent reason. The screen resolution is awesome and it takes good still pictures as well as video. It's music capabilities are better than the Sony MP3 player I was using. Haven't really downloaded a bunch of apps, but have browsed the store and there are plenty to choose from - - lots of free stuff too. My biggest complaint is that I've got big hands, and the thing is so darn small that I often "fat finger" some of the buttons. Not a big deal, and I'm sure I'll get better with time.Read full review
I absolutely love my new iPod Touch 4g! The quality of the screen is 2nd to none, and the speed with the new processor is very impressive. I purchased the iPod Touch because I don't need a cell phone, I just needed a good mp3 player that I could have fun with while running on the treadmill. My one and only gripe, however, is that the built in wifi radio is VERY weak. I literally have to be in the same room, within 15 feet of my router for the iPod to pick up a signal. At times I lose signal when I am within 5 feet of my router. I know the problem isn't in my router, as I have tested the wireless signal everywhere in my house on a Fluke AirMagnet WiFi analyzer. I also made sure the settings of the router were optimized according to recommendations laid out by Apple tech support employees on the Apple forums. The problem is in the iPod Touch itself using a very weak or low grade wifi radio. From what I have been able to gather, this is an intermittent issue, and does not effect every ipod touch 4g, so don't let this discourage you from purchasing one as it is truly in a class by itself among mp3 players. I have been in contact with Apple and have scheduled an RMA of my iPod Touch to fix the wifi issue.Read full review
