After a thorough service and clean up, and a complete rebuild of the power supply and upgrade to the phantom power supply the desk is performing well and the warm and musical pres and eq punch way above their weight. The ease of use and flexibility of routing is handy, and allows creative choices to be easily made on the fly without conscious thought causing distraction. I wish it had an eq switch for comparison, and xlr rather than trs jack master outs, but the former I knew when I got it and the latter was a minor inconvenience with a soldering iron. All in all, when used with the HD24 I have it sounds great and is easy to use, and as with any thirty year old desk that has been used and then stored I would expect to have to service it thoroughly, and as for the phantom power supply, even new it was an issue but easy to remedy if you have any electronics knowledge.
