It's Show-and-Tell time in Mrs. Krupp's class, and Billy just can't wait for his turn! Billy's classmates may have never considered careers in snail training or sumo wrestling before, but by the time the exuberant eight-year-old is done cataloging his dream jobs, they just might share his belief in unlimited potential! Virtuoso wordplay, irresistible rhythm, and laugh-out-loud humor abound in the first picture book by the one and only "Weird Al" Yankovic. This unbridled celebration of creativity and possibility invites readers of all ages to consider afresh what they want to be when they grow up.

  • My Favorite Children’s Book

This is an adorable picture book, I used to love to read it aloud when I taught preschool. When I Grow Up, by musician Al Yankovic, has a clever story and fantastic rhyme scheme. It’s funny for both children and adults. I bought a copy for each of the kids in my family, and I hope they love it as much as I do.

  • Sparks the imagination!

What else would you expect from Al Yankovic? His books are funny and get my students laughing and using their imaginations. I read these to my Drama class.

  • Weird Al never disappoints.

Whether he's writing a parody or a book, the master never fails to entertain. My wife loved it, my child loves it and so do I. As long as one is ok with a play on words innuendo the book will be a great story for kids. The innuendo is as follows "Master Debater."
