  • a blast from the past

on the whole, this was kind of disappointing. most of the stories are bad, and the 'musical' episode where everyone is singing stupid lyrics to the tunes of popular songs was just plain embarassing... still, it was nice to read some old favourites like the World Cup story, and the final case of Sam Slade where he is released from the health farm and goes looking for revenge on his pair of robo sidekicks who stole his money, made buying the book worth it. but I didn't even bother to read the last stories in this volume, the non-Gibson art was excrement and they weren't even written by John Wagner. 2000AD really went down the toilet after all the talent jumped ship and went to work for DC, but I'm glad I was there for its glory days. I would like to read volume 1 of Robohunter, which I'm sure is better, but for some reason it is incredibly expensive. hasn't the publisher ever heard of something called a 'reprint?'
